Poll: What Type of on the Job Training Do You Prefer?

A new job can be stressful. You’re learning new concepts and systems, all while trying to remember your co-workers’ names.

That’s why it’s so important to have some sort of new employee training in place. And even once you’ve gone from new to not so new, continuous training is still needed.

However, each one of us is different, and training that works for one person might not be ideal for another.

What’s your preferred type of on-the-job training?

Thanks for voting in our poll! Is there a type of training you don’t like? If so, let us know in the comments section below.

The problem I have with employees doing the training is they leave out half of what you need to know to do your job. Then everyone assumes you are fully trained and get upset when tasks are not completed.

Gabe, have gone through the employee side of the fence, despite some intensive classroom training provided. Quite frustrating when I lack some relevant details for a job that I’m hired to perform.

    Ture! Management problem for this.
Management should arrange you with different staff & train with, you are be able to get knowledge.broadly.

My preference for job training is based on my accomplishments during my early childhood – by watching others perform the work, then volunteer to do the same thing and deliver the same (or similar/relevant) results. Such is how I’ve learned how to play a keyboard musical instrument.
