A potential employee or client’s first impression may be formed by the appearance of an office building. If you’ve ever wondered why the hallways, restrooms, and breakrooms are spotless and well-stocked the next workday, or why you’re not too hot or cold at your desk, you can thank the custodial and sanitation crews.

An often-overlooked occupation, custodial and sanitation crews are critical to the successful operation of any company. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, custodial and sanitation crews held approximately 2.2 million jobs in 2020, with a 6% increase expected by 2030.
