Despite already having experience with several jobs, many working adults are unable to answer that age-old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Our Job Spotlight monthly blog series is designed to help answer that question. In this series, we review all the basics of specific jobs, from pay and duties to why people do the jobs they do.

Materials Handler

In this month’s Job Spotlight, we’re stocking our career knowledge banks with some information about material handler positions. Responsibilities include unloading product deliveries, packaging all finished goods, stocking each line with proper materials, cleaning the production floor, and loading and unloading trucks.

Question of the Month: Is Your Current Profession Related to Your College Degree?

Some of us start college and know exactly what we want to do. Others take a few years to figure it out. However, regardless of what you end up majoring in, that choice might not have much of an effect on your career. Most folks end up in positions with little or no correlation to their major.
