Those who prefer part-time work listed why they felt that way, with answers including:
- I enjoy the flexibility to go to doctor’s appointments and do chores at home.
- I watch my grandchildren during the day, so I need flexibility.
- Part-time work motivates me to complete work in a more efficient manner.
- I simplified my life and work just isn’t the most important thing anymore. A part-time job allows me to support my passion with income.
At the end of the day, most folks prefer the dependability of a full-time job. However, those that opt for part-time work are better able to pursue their hobbies and at-home responsibilities.
