But what exactly is a staffing company? If they aren’t charging you anything to get you a job, how do they make money? And what is it like to work with them instead of working with a company directly?

We’ve got the answers to those questions; check ‘em out below!

What is a staffing company?

A staffing company is an organization or entity that connects employers to prospective employees. To explain what Express does specifically, let’s look at a quote pulled from our website:

“When you work with Express, you build a relationship with a team of employment professionals in your community who have, in turn, built personal relationships with the businesses that are hiring.”

Basically, Express builds connections with businesses in your area, and then helps you get your foot in the door with those companies.

How do staffing companies make money?

Express never charges you anything during any stage of the hiring process or while you work for Express. The client company needs workers, so they pay Express to connect and maintain a relationship with employees. You work for and are paid by Express, and the client company pays Express for access to our pool of talented workers.
