Reskilling Key to Career Longevity

Few things in life are guaranteed, but change is one of them. When you get your foot in the door at a great company and envision a career of longevity, your job will likely require further training throughout the years to gain skills needed for the future workforce.

In a recent survey from The Harris Poll, commissioned by Express Employment Professionals, 72% of employers would actually rather invest in current employees through reskilling than hire new ones from outside the organization. (more…)

Employee Training: One Size Doesn’t Always Fit All

The labor force is diverse, full of unique individuals with their own outlooks, beliefs, managerial preferences, and career aspirations.

So it’s not a big surprise that different employees prefer different training programs.

In fact, according to go2HR, 40% of employees who receive what they see as poor training leave their positions within the first year. But what one person sees as poor training might be great for another.
