I like the rooster analogy. What goes around, comes around. So making sure others on your team get praised for a job well done can only help you get your fair credit when it's your turn.

What ever happened to RESPECT? Give respect and receive respect. Integrity and good character. Taking responsibility for yourself and not blame everyone else and everything else. What ever happened to good o common sense? I have worked temporary jobs and contract jobs for years because my spouse is active duty military and we move like every three years. Lately, a J-O-B is awful, makes me sick to my stomach; dreading to go to work. I want so badly, to find a great office environment where folks actually act grown and not like children in middle school. I like the analogy of barnyard animals.

Love it! The analogy is great - may I add though that some people kick dogs no matter how loyal they may be - then its time to move on to someone who will appreciate your loyalty!
Another great business / animal analogy is 'Power of the Pride' by Ian Thomas - AWESOME book!
