It’s important to use words in present tense when writing about your current job and use past tense when referring to a previous job. Employers aren’t only looking for skills, but also certifications, degrees, job titles, and company names.     They’re looking for buzzwords, not necessarily skills.

    And it seems that if the buzzwords of the industry / profession you do have expereince and skill in aren’t on their list, they ahve no idea what to do about you.
