Be Inspired by the Magic of Walt Disney Day

Celebrated on the first Monday in December, Walt Disney Day commemorates the legacy of the remarkable individual known for creating beloved childhood characters and bringing the magic of whimsical stories and characters to children and adults worldwide.

Walt was an incredible entrepreneur, and through his leadership and creativity, he established the Walt Disney Company to last for generations. Disney celebrated its 100th anniversary this year and is still sharing inspiring stories and creativity.

As a magnificent leader, Walt had wonderful insights that can inspire and motivate the leaders of today. Find inspiration in these quotes from Walt Disney himself:

  • Courage is the main quality of leadership, in my opinion, no matter where it is exercised. Usually it implies some risk—especially in new undertakings. Courage to initiate something and to keep it going, pioneering and adventurous spirit to blaze new ways, often, in our land of opportunity.
  • All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
  • [Cinderella] believed in dreams, all right, but she also believed in doing something about them. When Prince Charming didn’t come along, she went over to the palace and got him.
  • Get a good idea, and stay with it. Dog it, and work at it until it’s done, and done right.
  • The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
  • It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.
  • Togetherness, for me, means teamwork.
  • Why worry? If you’ve done the very best you can, then worrying won’t make it any better.
  • The difference in winning and losing is most often, not quitting.
  • I only hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing—that it was all started by a mouse.
